homework...a word tt most students hate to hear..'holiday' homework makes it a whole lot worse..only a handful of students actually like doing homework..but do they actually know what they are for?
ok la..dun type until so ang moh..i oso dun like..singlish is still my way of speech..wahahas..homework ah..personally i wun wanna have anything to do with homework if i have the choice..i sleep in class, slack at home..i even tend to misplace my worksheets..kind of the worst student u can ever come across huh..to be honest, im not far off..hahas..
k la..not so much abt me..homework IS impt to a certain extent..and students wun understand this until they are actually rid of homework..it is when they dun hav homework to do, den they feel the importance of it..wad's so impt is that u get to practise the stuff learnt in sch..when u dont actually have to do homework, u're not provided with homework..wad u're left with is just a set of notes with nothing to practise on..no example questions, no past exam papers..just notes..it is then that students realise the importance of homework..having something to practise with and to gauge how good you actually are is so important..and when u get to higher levels of education, u have to OBTAIN the homework on your own..if u dont, u're behind everyone else..not only that, u dunno how good you are in ur stuff and it places u in an even worse position..pri and sec sch students who hear of this would think "eh no homework..shiok leh"..hahas..i would love to say that too..but my feelings have changed, in that aspect..homework IS important..
but i still dont like it..LOL
a gd fren of mine, named nadia shah, once went on stage to make a speech abt homework..of cuz, she said a whole lot of good stuff abt it (cuz the school wun allow negetive but true effects that the homework would give i guess..hahas) she ended it with "BUT all work and no play makes jack a dull boy"..nice ending i would say..cuz the speech was so true all along, the last line wouldnt be a lie right? and everyone has a reason to play..hahas! i was motivated, for abt a couple of days, and went bck to my old self of disliking sch work and not wanting to have anything to do with it..hahas
nevertheless, now that im rid of homework, i feel the value of it..wad a bummer huh..
